7th week teaching practice- Phase 2

On the 7th and the last week of teaching practice from July 24th to July 29th, I had taken class in 8th B, 8th C and 9th B. On 25th July, we were invited to our college to celebrate College Day and Patron's Feast. On 26th July, our school celebrated Vijayulsavam, to congratulate the Excellent students in the previous academic year. We helped in the stage decoration.  On 29th July, we had our last day of teaching practice. Students bided us farewell with some chocolates and we had a staff meeting in the evening were we reflected our journey during the teaching practice.

College Day & Patron's Feast

 On 25th July, our College celebrated College Day and Patron's Feast. For being part of this celebration, our management requested the schools to give us a day leave during our teaching practice.  Mass was conducted in our college and it was followed by Inauguration. Special lunch was organised and later on different cultural programmes by Senior and Junior batch students. 

5th & 6th week teaching practice- Phase 2

5th week teaching practice was between 10th July to 14th July. During this week I taught 8th B, 8th C and 9th B.  In 8th B and C, I taught them 2nd Chapter of Biology- Cell Clusters In 9th B, I started the 2nd chpter of Biology- Food through Digestive tract On 11th July, World Population Day,  a small FM talk was conducted to make students aware about the importance of celebrating the day.  On 12th July, we conducted a subject associated activity based on Paper Bag Day. We made students to prepare small paper bags in the class. Students participated actively.  During the 6th week teaching practice, from July 17th to July 22nd, 2023, we had 2 days holiday on 17 and 18.  On other days of the school, I took 8th B, 8th C and 9th B classes.  In 8th B and 8th C, I continued the chapter Cell clusters. Im 9th B, I continued the chapter Food through digestive tract.  We had no assembly and special day celebrations during these days.

Paper Bag Day- Activity

On 12th July, 2023, I and Sonia decided to conduct a subject associated activity on the behalf of celebrating Paper Bag Day. We decided to celebrate it in an innovative way by making the students to prepare a paper bag in the class. We also addressed them the importance of changing our perspective about plastic usage and turn into eco friendly materials and protect the nature. I demonstrated them of how to make paper bag step by step. Students followed our instructions. They enjoyed a lot in this activity and were motivated to follow the instructions provided by us. 

3rd & 4th week teaching practice- Phase 2

Third week teaching practice was between June 26th to July 1, 2023. During these days I had classes in 8th B, 8th C and 9th B. In class 9th, I completed the firat chapter and began with the second chapter- Food through digestive tract.  On 26th June, 2023, we celebrated International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in our school. An assembly dedicated for this celebration where an oath was taken. On 27th June, the school decided to conduct unit test for 8th, 9th and 10th Standard. On the same day I conducted Biology test in both 8th and 9th standard. On 1st July, me and Sonia conducted an activity based on National Doctor's Day. We gave students a talk on why doctor's day is celebrated, a role play on a day in hospital and Thanksgiving card preparation.  From July 3rd to July 7th, 2023 we had our fourth week teaching practice. During these days, I taught in 8th B, 8th C and 9th B. In 8th class, I completed the first chapter,  and began with the second chapter- Ce

National Doctor's Day - Activity

 On 1st July, me and Sonia conducted an activity based on National Doctor's Day. We gave students a talk on why doctor's day is celebrated and importance of the day. Later we asked students to perform a role play on a day in hospital. Students performed the role play very well. Then students were instructed to prepare a Thanksgiving cards to doctors and express their gratitude. All the students participated enthusiastically.
