On 26 January 1950, the Constitution of India came into effect, replacing the Government of India Act (1935). By adopting its own Constitution, India became a republic country on 26 January. On that day, Dr Rajendra Prasad started his first term as President of India and the Constituent Assembly became the Parliament of India. On the 73rd Republic day, due to the pandemic situation, we celebrated this occasion through online platform. Social science department organised this programme and Dr. Chanchel was the chief guest. The programme was very patriotic and informative. Quiz competition was also conducted. 

 The subject associated program was conducted on 13th January 2022 where the name of the event was "BioCiencia". BioCiencia is combination of two words: Bios meaning 'life' in Greek and Ciencia meaning 'science' in Spanish; In total it means 'Life Science'. Having five members in our department which included- Arundhati, Mrudula, Nafana, Sonia and myself, Nithya, we enthusiastically conducted the program with full support of our teacher, Mrs. Shubha Prabha. We also decorated the stage with some hanging paper crafts. Before the program began that afternoon my friends invited each teachers and students by presenting an invitation to them.  Our program started with a comparing. A melodious prayer song was sung which was followed by welcome speech sharing about the importance of life science in everyday life. Our principal Dr J. Albaris gave the inaugural address. The day arrived when the entire college came together to celebrate Christmas on 23rd, December 2021. Manager of the college was the chief guest on this occasion. There were many cultural events organised in connection to Christmas. All students were part of one or another program which included live crib, group song, group dance and so on. All the teachers and the students were excited and enjoyed the events utmost. Also we selected our christmas friend and exchanged gifts. Our Christmas celebration was a success. 

  There is a saying in English- "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". Sports accompanying academic curriculum, helps in increasing the overall personality of a student. Different qualities like leadership, sharing, team spirit, tolerance etc. are learnt from sports. Being a teacher trainee we should also know its importance. For the same purpose, our college organised Sports Day on 21st December, 2021.  Different events like Race ( 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and relay race), Shotput, Discus throw, Javelin and March past were conducted. To make the sports day more interesting and competitive, each event was conducted house wise. The students were divided into 4 groups named after planets i.e., Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Our physical education sir encouraged everyone to participate and enjoy all the sport. All the students from both the batches took part with team spirit. Winners in each event were appreciated with medals and trophies were given to overall

  As Christmas was approaching, our college organised a Greeting Card Competition on 20th December, 2021 for both the batches of B.Ed students. All students eagerly prepared themselves by collecting colourful papers, scissors, glue etc. for this competition. Also our performing arts sir encouraged everyone to be creative and presentable. Winners were declared on Christmas celebration day and trophies were given.

Election was conducted in our college on 17th December, 2021 Meet the candidate was organised on 16th December.

Constitution day also known as 'Samvidhan Divas' is celebrated in our country on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. Our college organised a quiz competition on that day, but due to some inconvenience the quiz was postponed.         The quiz was then conducted on 1st December, 2021 where four groups participated and questions related to Constitution of India was asked. We all participated enthusiastically. There were four rounds and a rapid fire round. At the end of the quiz, prizes were given to the winners.

10th November 2021 was my first day at B.Ed college. A small event named "Eykaivia 2021" was organised by the college administration and our seniors to welcome us to this academic year 2021-2023. Students along with their parents were present at this occasion. Chief guest of the inauguration ceremony was Dr Joseph Dunston. He being a teacher himself gave us some valuable advice. Our principal shared with us some valuable insights and blessed us with his kind words. Also our seniors arranged some cultural programs for us. We all enjoy the programme thoroughly.  

 As the saying goes " A little step may be the beginning of a great journey", I have taken a small step to create the future.             I have started my B.Ed course in St. Jacob's Training College. I believe that a teacher can change the world and can create the future.              Wish me luck for my new beginning.
