1st & 2nd week Teaching practice- Phase 2
First week teaching practice of the second round began from June 12 to June 16, 2023. During these days I took classes in 8th B, 8th C and 9th B.
8th Biology 1st chapter: Life's Mysteries in Little Chamber.
9th Biology 1st Chapter: Protectors of Biosphere.
On 12th June, we arrived at the school and started the day with a brief introduction with the Headmaster. She gave us instructions regarding the school and classes. We were then allotted a concern teacher who further provided us with timetable and necessary information.
Me along with my friend Sonia, Biology training teacher conducted a Environment day quiz on June 12th. Students from classes 8th, 9th and 10th participated. Students from class 10th were the winners.
In the afternoon everyday, during the lunch break, the school FM radio is on air and provides us with necessary information like celebrating any particular day, reading news, entertainment activities etc.
On 14th June, as it was World Blood Donar day, we conducted a poster making competition in class 9th D. Students took part in the competition enthusiastically. Students were given an overview about the need of donating blood and saving lives of others.
Second week teaching practice in St. Michael's Higher Secondary School was between June 19 to June 23, 2023. During these days I had classes in 8th B, 8th C and 9th B.
In 8th B and C, I took Chapter: Life's Mysteries in Little Chamber
In 9th B, I took Chapter: Protectors of Biosphere
On June 19th, 2023 we celebrated National Reading Day. The celebration was done in the morning assembly where students performed different activities associated to reading day.
On June 19th, we science trainee teachers conducted an awareness talk on Sickle cell awareness. We conducted a talk and presented an idea in 9th D.
International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21st. A special assembly was conducted were speech on importance and beginning of Yoga Day was told.
On 23rd June, 2023, a cleaning campaign was organised from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the school premises as part of keeping the school area neat and clean.
