National Reading Day
On June 19th, 2023 St. Michael's Higher Secondary School celebrated National Reading Day. The celebration was done in the morning assembly where students performed different activities associated to reading day.
Assembly began with a prayer, pledge and thought. Chief Guest addressed the gathering. Principal and Headmaster of the school also enlightened the students. A short poem was recited by a 6th standard student. Importance of celebrating National Reading Day was told to us by a student. Classical dance was performed by a 12th standard student on the poem of P N Paniker. A Book waa introduced by a student by reading out its review. A melodious folk song was sung by another student. At the end of the programme, vote of thanks was given by the coordinator.
In the afternoon 9th standard students were distributed books and provided reading time in the ground. Students read the books and provided summary.
