Papilio Aurora

As the time passed we realized that we were no longer the junior batch. Our juniors admission started and they were welcomed to the college on 12th September, 2022. For our juniors no stones remained unturned as we did our best to welcome them. Cultural programmes were organised which involved the active participation of super seniors, our batch and junior batch. The programme was a grand success. 

On 31st August, Onam was celebrated in our college with lots of enthusiasm and fervor. The day began with a formal Inauguration of the event and later went on with cultural programmes, onam feast and ended with onam games.  A flower carpet i.e Athapookalam, was arranged in front of the college with the participation all the students.  The entire Onam celebration was full of fun and enjoyment.

As a part of the restructured B.Ed curriculum of the University of Kerala, it was decided to organize a one day workshop on “STRESS MANAGEMENT - AN ULTIMATE NEED OF THE HOUR TO SUCCEED” for B.Ed trainees by Kerala University college of Teacher Education, Kariavattom and St. Jacob’s Training College, Menamkulam on 29th, August 2022. The workshop attempted to get an insight into the stress management concept and how far it is important to achieve success in this competent world. The workshop was conducted in two sessions. The first session was carried by Dr. Giby Geevarughese on the theme “Stress Management Techniques” and the second session by Dr. Suresh K J on the theme “ Coping strategies: the key for a happy life”.

The Independence Day of India, which is celebrated religiously throughout the Country on the 15 th  of August every year. It was on 15 th  August 1947 that India was declared independent from British colonialism.  Our college celebrated 75th Independence day on 12th August, 2022. The programme began with the flag hoisting, followed by national anthem and programme inauguration. Union members organised a patriotic song competition, in which different optional students participated. Cultural programmes from each optional was organised. Sweets were also distributed.

 On 19th July 2022, our college inaugurated IQAC in our college and took a step forward to success. Dr. Gabriel Simon Thattil,  Department of Commerce was the chief guest who addressed us about IQAC. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure.  The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.

National Reading Day is celebrated on June 19. Our college decided to celebrate Reading Day on June 22. The programme named "Radius Illunimations" was conducted by the Literary club of the college. The programme started with a welcome speech, followed by giving tribute to P. N. Panicker sir. A documentary was shown related to the same.   The event was followed by some enjoyable games which involved the participation of all the students. Books help in opening our mind. So as an event books were exchanged among the friends.

A short film on Covid scenario named "Quarantine" was shown in our college. The film depicted how a old aged person suffered during the time of Covid-19 and spend his time in encouraging himself in his hobby.
