5th & 6th week Teaching practice- Phase 1

On the 5th week of teaching practice from 6th Feb to 10th Feb, I had 8th C, 8th B and 9th B classes. In 8th C I completed  the chapter Diversity for Sustenance. 

On 6th February, World Cancer Day was celebrated and I and Sonia took an awareness class on Cancer and made students to participate in a small poster making competition in 9th D. 


On 10th February, World Pulses Day was celebrated. On this occasion, we gave gave a small talk and importance of different pulses.

Teaching practice moved towards the 6th week from 13th February to 17th February. During this week I had classes in 8th B,  8th C and 9th B.  In 8th C and 9th B classes the portions were completed so I moved on with revision and class tests for the exam preparations.

On 13th February, our college trainees conducted a conscientisation programme for 8th B and 8th C on Career Guidance.


On 13th February, natural science group celebrated Darwin Day which was on 12th February. 
On 14th February, natural science group celebrated International Day of Women and girls in science by introducing students with some female personalities.
In this week I completed the portions of 8th B as the chapter came to an end.

On the 7th and the last week of teaching practice from July 24th to July 29th, I had taken class in 8th B, 8th C and 9th B. On 25th July, we were invited to our college to celebrate College Day and Patron's Feast. On 26th July, our school celebrated Vijayulsavam, to congratulate the Excellent students in the previous academic year. We helped in the stage decoration.  On 29th July, we had our last day of teaching practice. Students bided us farewell with some chocolates and we had a staff meeting in the evening were we reflected our journey during the teaching practice.

3rd & 4th week teaching practice- Phase 2

Third week teaching practice was between June 26th to July 1, 2023. During these days I had classes in 8th B, 8th C and 9th B. In class 9th, I completed the firat chapter and began with the second chapter- Food through digestive tract.  On 26th June, 2023, we celebrated International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in our school. An assembly dedicated for this celebration where an oath was taken. On 27th June, the school decided to conduct unit test for 8th, 9th and 10th Standard. On the same day I conducted Biology test in both 8th and 9th standard. On 1st July, me and Sonia conducted an activity based on National Doctor's Day. We gave students a talk on why doctor's day is celebrated, a role play on a day in hospital and Thanksgiving card preparation.  From July 3rd to July 7th, 2023 we had our fourth week teaching practice.
