On 26th June, 2023, St. Michael's Higher Secondary School celebrated International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. An assembly was conducted in which the importance of celebrating anti drug day was mentioned. All students took an oath against drugs and its consumption. 

First week teaching practice of the second round began from June 12 to June 16, 2023. During these days I took classes in 8th B, 8th C and 9th B. 8th Biology 1st chapter: Life's Mysteries in Little Chamber. 9th Biology 1st Chapter: Protectors of Biosphere. On 12th June, we arrived at the school and started the day with a brief introduction with the Headmaster. She gave us instructions regarding the school and classes. We were then allotted a concern teacher who further provided us with timetable and necessary information. Me along with my friend Sonia, Biology training teacher conducted a Environment day quiz on June 12th. Students from classes 8th, 9th and 10th participated. Students from class 10th were the winners. In the afternoon everyday, during the lunch break, the school FM radio is on air and provides us with necessary information like celebrating any particular day, reading news, entertainment activities etc.  On 14th June, as it was World Blood Donar day, we conducted a ...

 As part of Kerala govt. Circular, all the schools were instructed to conduct a cleaning campaign in the schools to ensure our environment neat and clean and disease free. On 23rd June, 2023, St. Michael's Higher Secondary School organized the cleaning campaign from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Different classes were allotted different area for cleaning and class teachers were assigned to assist the students.

 Plant cell model was prepared and used in class 8th B and 8th C for explaining students about plant cell and organelles. A dice was used along with it to provide more information.

International Yoga Day was celebrated in St. Michael's Higher Secondary School on June 21st. A special assembly was conducted were speech on importance and beginning of Yoga Day wa told. A group of students performed Yoga Dance. 

 On June 19th, along with National Reading Day, we science trainee teachers conducted an awareness talk on Sickle cell awareness. We conducted a talk and presented an idea in 9th D. Students were enlightened about what is sickle cell, what cause the changes in Red Blood Cell, how sickle cell affects the patients, how is this disease transferred, how we should take care of the patients and about different blood types.   Students were attentive during this session and asked many questions about this disease.

On June 19th, 2023 St. Michael's Higher Secondary School celebrated National Reading Day. The celebration was done in the morning assembly where students performed different activities associated to reading day.  Assembly began with a prayer, pledge and thought. Chief Guest addressed the gathering. Principal and Headmaster of the school also enlightened the students. A short poem was recited by a 6th standard student. Importance of celebrating National Reading Day was told to us by a student. Classical dance was performed by a 12th standard student on the poem of P N Paniker. A Book waa introduced by a student by reading out its review. A melodious folk song was sung by another student. At the end of the programme, vote of thanks was given by the coordinator.  In the afternoon 9th standard students were distributed books and provided reading time in the ground. Students read the books and provided summary. 

 On June 14th, 2023, we conducted a poster making competition in class 9th D. The students were first made aware about the importance of donating blood to save lives, who can donate blood and how much is donated and so on. 

On 12th June, 2023, we conducted a Environment Day Quiz in St. Michael's Higher Secondary School. The quiz was based on questions related to Environment, current affairs and Environment Day theme. Students from class 8th, 9th and 10th participated in the quiz.  Questions like, who is the current agricultural minister of kerala, when was first Environment day celebrated, what was the theme, who brought green revolution etc. were asked.  Students participated and tried answering the questions. Three winners from class 10th was appropriated and rewarded. 

 On 12th June, 2023, our second phase teaching practice began. I was alloted St. Michael's Higher Secondary School, Kadinamkullam.
